I took the class at Sgt. Everett's Pistol Range in Norman. I am thrilled that there is a place to shoot in Norman! Then I found out there was a six week wait to be fingerprinted. I finally got printed on August 3rd. I have a bad feeling that I will have to get printed again, because I have gone through the same process to be a certified teacher. Back then, I was fingerprinted with ink twice in Norman. Both were rejected by the OSBI. Then I had to go up to the OSBI to get digitally scanned. Considering how "useless" the ink versions were, you would think that sheriff departments like Cleveland County would find the money for a scanner. I'm guessing that a month of nonstop fingerprinting at $25 a pop would buy them a nice shiny new digital scanner. (I have to complain about something.) Everyone I have dealt with has been very polite and helpful. So the only pain is waiting. At least it will be easy to conceal when I get my license in November.
