[QUOTE="jakerz, post: 1647405, member: 18966"] I mounted a 50" on my wall and ran all of the cable. You really have two options. 1. run all the cable straight down from the tv and hide it with a cable raceway. You can paint it to match your wall. Not a bad option. 2. (This is what I did) I installed a power outlet behind the TV by splicing into the existing power that was already on that wall (this way the power cable will be hidden behind the TV). Second, you will need a AV wall plate to hook up all of your equipment (DVR, Bluray, Xbox, etc). You can either install one behind the tv and near the base of the wall, or what I did was just cut a hole in the drywall behind the tv and feed the cable down to a nice AV wall plate. The AV plate I have, has an HDMI, RJ45, component, RCA, and a coaxial connection. Everything I needed to hook up all of my equipment. The plates have connectors that are female on both sides. I didn't want the raceway, so I went for the cleaner look. Plus it's nice to have all of connections on a wall plate, versus having to try and get behind the small space behind your TV to connect/disconnect stuff. BTW, the wall plate ran me $45 and maybe $20 for the 12 gauge electrical wire and power outlet. Hope this helps. Here's a link to the kind of plate i'm talking about. Not the one I have, but you get the idea.
