I'll refer you to Aarond's Law #1:

Anytime you start a sentence with the word "why",,,
Stop right there.

In almost every instance the correct answer is money.

It will either cost too much or not generate enough profit.

WHAAAAT! 775? You should be losing sleep over that.

I don’t know how long it’s been since you went to that gun show, but they would probably be at least double that price now.
I saw a used Smith 657 Lew Horton listed recently for $1800.:ooh2:

LOL. It was probably 10 to 12 years ago. I went home and ran to the computer thinking I may need to go right back out there. I checked Gunbroker and he was right in line with Gunbroker completed auction pricing so I passed. Still regretting that bonehead decision.

The last gun show I went to a guy had a PAIR of NIB Lew Hortons. $775 each a .44 and a .41 mag. I seriously contemplated buying them both. Been kicking my own ass ever since. :(
Years ago, I owned a Lew Horton Model 25 round butt 2”, but for the life of me, I can’t recall if it was .45ACP or .45LC. (I don’t remember using moon clips, so it was probably LC.) I do remember it being a fairly nice shooter. IIRC, I ended up trading it for an HK USP Compact in 9mm (one of the earliest USP-Cs in 9mm imported into the States).

I’m trying to get out of 40, but I still have a G23 and am holding on to some ammo just in case. As for 45, I’m way to heavily vested to get out now, so I might as well buy a revolver in that caliber too.:anyone:

I have a bunch 22 Mag ammo and don’t even own a gun in that caliber anymore, but I might again…some day…

It’s official now that I’m on the hunt for a Smith 325 night guard, and if my wife gets mad, I’m blaming it on Panhandleglocker.:rolleyes2

you are very welcome haha

Well, I’ve gone completely off the rails now. There was a Smith 329 Night Guard listed on a local gun classifieds this evening, and I’m picking it up tomorrow. A 29 oz 44 magnum ought to buck and snort a little.
