In an normal world the following sorts of reactions and press coverage would have been seen:
Antifa firearms instructor killed by police. School kids safe. Parents and teachers grateful to officers.
Heavily armed, disraught leftist attacks school resource officers and is killed by same.
Oregon officials urge investigation of Antifa and action to prevent future violence by same.
Southern Poverty Law Center to list Antifa as hate group.
Antifa insiders reveal twisted outlook of group after dropping out.
Teachers union calls for exploring all options to protect students.

Another thing worth mentioning is that he was not engaged in political violence.
It was a crazy and evil response to a domestic issue. Not really that uncommon unfortunately.
But he was a heavily armed firearms instructor for a radical left political outfit.
The media missed a real opportunity when they didn't focus on that.
The conspiracy is just stupid. The left hand knoweth not what the right hand doeth. They could always find something if they looked hard enough.

First the gun drug the man to a school and threaten kids. Then the gun attacked police, before turning on his owner.
Just one more reason why need to ban guns. Teacher should be focused on gender studies and rewriting history, not guns.

That's a big one, that and the fact there was no "assault rifle" involved..... and thankfully, no children were killed. We wouldn't want to be spreading feel good stories of a crisis averted by someone having a gun on school grounds. Someone should show this to Broward County for training.

There is something to that. Several of the school shooters that sadly were successful said they were emulating Harris and Klebold's actions in Colorado.
Along those lines, our local newspaper does not sensationalize gang activity. We certainly have it, but it's reported as a crime and not a gang crime when offenders are caught.

Fresh news: Apparent follow-up attack on police

Following the shooting death of a local antifa radical earlier this month, police in Eugene, Ore., on Monday found incendiary devices planted outside their headquarters. "I don't know what kind of damage they could have done," Lt. David Natt said. "This is not a hoax device. These are very serious matters."

KMTR reported:

The devices are now at the Eugene Police forensics lab for processing.
"Our hope is we get some physical evidence off it, and that physical evidence leads us to potentially somebody involved in the production and/or deployment of these devices," Natt said.

Natt declined to describe the devices or say how many devices were found.

"We kind of hang on to some of the details for the purposes of bettering the investigation," he said. "When we are in a position to release more details about style, type, make, model, that kind of stuff as it pertains to what was found, we're more than willing to do that. But we want to give our investigators the best start we can to get to the bottom of what this is all about."
