I've always heard the sheep were in the panhandle. Every time you see about someone hunting them in a magazine or video they are a zillion feet up a mountain above timberline requiring mountain climbing skills to take one.
Never thought you would find them in the flatland.
When we visit Red River, there is always a group of them along the road just NE of town. Mostly ewes and kids. Never the adult males like in your photo's.

What route would you take on a bike to/from OKC? I'm thinking mainly about balancing oilfield/truck traffic vs falling off in a car sized pothole on side roads.

There’s not enough oilfield traffic out here nowadays. Coming from OKC you don’t see oilfield traffic very much after Seiling. Maybe a little bit around Woodward. After that it’s open.
