My family and I went to the Black Mesa one year on vacation when my girls were younger. By the time we headed back for our hotel in Woodward, it had already started getting dark. We stopped in Guymon to eat, and around Slapout, it was darker than the inside of an ape's ass! My oldest daughter (she was about 10 then) was riding up front with me. We're driving along and she said, "wow! It sure is dark." I replied, "yup, it sure is," and then I turned the car's headlights off. Scared her shitless. "TURN THE LIGHTS BACK ON!!!" she screamed. :scream: From Kenton to Guymon, I think we probably saw 2 or 3 cars. That was it! Very desolate part of the state.
