I have multiple Nikon scopes. I can say its one if not the only brand I own I never have had to send in for repair. I have always thought in their market they had the best glass dollar for dollar. Their warranty does require you have the warranty card and receipt. They never went to the full on warranty everything from anybody like Vortex, Athlon, Bushnell and others have gone to. I also have Nikon bino's and DSLR cameras again no issues ever. Its all worked as it should. The last scope I bought was end of last year I got a Nikon X1000 right before I knew they were stopping making scopes. I have heard they will continue to service and warranty their scopes. Will that change in 2 or 3 years possibly. IMO if there is a scope you want and you can get a deal on it. I would have no issue taking a chance on it even if the warranty goes away in a few years. If you somehow do get a dud or doa scope. I would think for the next year you would be fine to get it replaced under warranty. One other thing, some scope manufactures have thread after thread about how great their service is. To me that is telling that so many folks are experienced with their service. The fact you don't see Nikon service threads everywhere speaks to its own right imo.
