They are small like green onions right?
Haven't had them out here. In NC, they're like a green onion with a small bulb and have a garlic bite to them. Little stinky too but great in anything that needs onions.
They might be garlic...I get them in every year and used to think it was onions but figured out they were garlic.
You can always tell when it's wild onion season......butt thunder echoes thru the hills around Kenwood!
We have two types, one with a flat greens and one with a round top green growing in the yard.
The flat tastes like garlic, and the round tastes like onion.
That's why I was asking about the size. Ours never gets over 6-8" tall. The bulb in the garlic is about the size of a pea.
These are wild onions, not garlic.
Mine is Cherokee as well. First time I had wild onions and eggs was at her Grandmas house when we were dating.
