There are a LOT of plating companies in So Cal and if this goes through many many people will be looking for jobs. Same liberal BS!! This won’t stop anything, only kick the can down the road and drive more businesses out of the state. I’m sure they’re getting a healthy chunk of Dopey’s $1.2 Trillion so no worries.
Maybe the long-term goal here is something much bigger. Hexavalent chromium is released into the air when welding stainless and some other alloys. So, if they start with chrome plating car parts , they might move on to banning any metal fabrication processes that release chrome fumes into the air. The environmentalists would use this as a weapon to shut down refineries and other plants in the state. It's like gun control. Give an inch and they would want a mile.
I just like sitting back and watching California legislate themselves to death.
