Well, I did it. I bought a new Les Baer Custom Carry in stainless. I'll try to get some pictures up of it before too long, although it looks like any other LBCC. I was all set to buy one of the Concept VII's, but stumbled into a discussed point about the Baer frames on the 4.25 guns and just decided to wait on that one for now. However, I was already bitten by the bug and did just what I said I wasn't going to do and bought a 5" gun. I do that seldom, but did it this time. It's an absolutely beautiful gun that has not skipped one beat in 200 rds. of 3 different bullets in 4 different types of magazines. No failures of any kind. But, I'd almost be willing to bet it that it's not gonna fail inside a 1000. It just does the exact same thing and feels the exact same way every time! It's not fancy, it's just precision through and through. I've owned Colts, Springfields, and the new Ruger SR 1911 and this Baer is completely on a different level. I'll give an honest report when I hit 500 and 1000, but right now I have to say it seems to be worth every penny!!
