this is one of those guns I probably should have passed on but seller said how much and accepted my very low offer. SN 3215xxx shows 1969 mfg. 20" barrel. wood is good, flat metal butt plate, action and trigger smooth, about 8 spots of rust plus worn blueing. Bore is dark brown, detectable rifling but hasn't cleaned up any with hopes and a brass brush.
Found used fair condition barrel for $100, excellent $250, New $300. I'm guessing that a OK knock around truck gun would be worth around $375 or so. In todays market, that may be low. Wondering if anyone out there has gone down this path and has advise on what not to do or what has worked. The though of a caliber conversion has crossed my mind.
