What's the interest like for old Model 12s these days? People still looking for them?

I have an opportunity to pick up a 1947 vintage 16 gauge with a Cutts attached...spreader choke. Have not measured the barrel but it is not real long.
It was definitely a hunting tool. Fair amount of blue wear. No major gouges in the stock. Action slick as snot on a wet watermelon. Was just the guys quail gun till he couldn't go any more.

You probably know this, but the Model 12 did not have a disconnector. Pull the trigger on the first round, then just hold the trigger back and pump the action 'til the magazine is empty. Made them mighty handy in certain situations, which made them popular with folks who frequently got into situations.

Now I know how my Uncle made his pump shoot so fast back when I could only follow while he was hunting rabbits back in 1970. Back then it seemed like 5 shots in one second .

Yep. It wasn't until Benelli came out with their system that a semi-auto could out-cycle an old Winchester Model 12. A retired OHP Trooper I know said that a lot of the older Troopers didn't want to turn in their old Model 12s when the OHP replaced them back in the day. (I want to say that they replaced them with semi-auto carbines, maybe Mini14s, but it has been too long.)

AKA "Slam-fire". They are excruciatingly fun. So I've heard.
