A contributing factor is HOT showers.

Turn the temp down and use a moisturizing soap.

And, YES, it is a common issue.

Small humidifier in the bedroom will help, too.

I still have issue with eczema, so I use some form of lotion every day, year round. While in Utah a few years ago, the wife was recommended to use Cetaphil cream. She had good results, so I started using it myself. Where I used to use udder cream, I've now gone to the Cetaphil because it is more readily available in Walmart, Sam's, and probably about all pharmacies like CVS and Walgreens.

I figured you for a KY kinda gal. :naughty:
Back in high school I ran for student body president. One of my campaign posters was:
"The other candidates are like Vaseline, Hillside is like KY. Sure they will get the job done but will leave you feeling greasy and alone."

I got called into the principals office. My response was, "Someone must really not like me." And were trying to undermine my political aspirations. I was then banned from student government and all student elections.
