Wood!!

Looking in my gun case and I realize I have a love of wood!! Dark wood,light wood ,some laminates. Looking at another post with all black plastic, and while the rifle has gobs of cool factor it does nothing for me.
I have a deer rifle that is a plastic stock and I hate it and will soon replace the stock!! Or sell it and get a rifle with some wood!!
Any body else require wood furniture for love of a rifle?

I am a fan of nice wood stocks. Always have been. Blame on it Jim Carmichel's articles in Outdoor Life so many years ago.

Yep, I love the look of real wood on my rifles. I do appreciate the effects of weather on them though and tend to hunt with composite material stocks. Of course all the lever action guns are wood and they look GREAT..

I would rather have wood over plastic any day. In fact not long ago I was trying to trade my only black rifle for something with wood. Did not find anything.

Wood is sometimes prettier than plastic, but plastic is often more practical.

I too love a pretty wood stock, but if I gotta get wet and dirty, then give me a synthetic stock.

M1D with USGI birch stock set. I still have the “original” SA/RA stock set from the “D” conversion.
