I would prefer to lug around polymer in the woods, it's lighter and who gives a damn if it gets all scratched up. However, I think the classics are sexier, and the older I get the more I can appreciate wood (cue the Viagra jokes).
The tubs are symbols of relaxing, taking your time, not hurrying, in that a bath is more relaxing than a shower. They reflected that from the start, Cialis advertising was warmer and gentler than ads for Viagra -- more feminine, as it were.

Ahhhh, hmmmm, yeah ... well ... ahem ... I'm more of a let's get right down to business so I can go on to do the hunnerd other things I have on my list of things that need to get done today ... or I can get some sleep before the damned alarm goes off ... lol ... I'm kinda practical that way ... hahaha!
I don't like synthetic stocks, they just don't feel right to me (too "slick").
I've considered everything from just sanding to rough 'em up a bit, to actually applying varnish or some other "wood feel" finish.
Was 60 before I even owned a synthetic stock on a long gun, so maybe it's the "old dog new tricks" thing. :/
