We tow a big RV all over the place and when not towing that, it’s a trailer with a load on it. The tow package uses the rear brakes to compensate for trailer sway like when meeting a semi on a 2 lane road on a windy day with the rear brakes. Truck also has limited slip rear wheels that the brakes also are used to control which wheel gets a little drag on it to get traction to the other wheel.</blockquote>
