I was trying to find pics on the net of what I use. I get it at the beauty supply store and it’s 40% peroxide. They make a 50 but you have to get someone with a cosmetology license to buy it for you. I take the gel and the powder and mix to a paste. Then I apply it with a cheap chip brush. Let it sit overnight and rinse in the morning. Three nights of that and it’s white as a sheet.

I haven't mounted a deer skull myself, but this is what I use on hog skulls. I brush it on with a sponge style paint brush, let it sit overnight and wash off the next day. Let it dry in the sunshine and repeat the process if it isn't lightened enough for you.
