I remember my first day of basic and a briefing that basically said, if you like that kind of stuff, we’ll provide an escort to the front gate.

Times have certainly changed. Just watching everyday TV, there’s a lot more emphasis on the LGBT types and subtle “messages” that those “lifestyles” are OK.

This country would be such a better place if we’d just let some people tell other consenting adults how to live their lives. Maybe we can pass some laws that’d give them that power or something.
I don’t care if someone wants to be gay. My problem is when they want to do crap like this picture to try and broadcast it to everyone. Gay people can’t just be happy living in the greatest country on earth that actually allows people to be gay without discrimination. No. They are never satisfied. And they won’t be until everyone accepts it. Well I’m sorry but I won’t ever accept it. I get it. Being gay is ok to you. I find it funny. Every time there is a post about gays or abortion you and a few others always have to have throw your two cents in. Either you enjoy causing trouble or it just really bothers you that I and others aren’t pro gay. I can say the same thing about anytime Christianity is mentioned in threads like these. You same people always have to throw your two cents in on that too. I don’t know if your an atheist but I know some others are and they are the ones that always have to comment negatively.

Nope. People that think they know what's best for others and would love to compromise other's Constitutional rights to fit their mold of what they believe is "right" is the disgrace.
Where in the constitution does it say homosexuality is a right? It doesn’t. Homosexuality was neither found in the constitution nor was it rooted in our history. Call me a disgrace all you want. Your one of the few that I mentioned in my other post that always has to throw your negative two cents in anytime homosexuality isn’t discussed. Or heaven forbid someone mention Christianity. That really gets you and the others panties in a wad.

You don't care if they want to be gay as long as they don't exercise the same rights as everyone else does?. Im not pro gay in the least but it ain't my job to judge everyone else. If they ant breaking the law then what's the the problem? I don't see how two guys kissing is hurting you any

The Constitution doesn't say heterosexuality is a right either. The rights granted in the Constitution have nothing to do with sexual orientation.
I believe homosexuality is a sin ,but no more of a sin than judging Matthew 7:1-2 . Judging sin isn't within the purview man

I never said it was hurting me. For people that aren’t pro gay y’all sure do get riled up over it. But I already know your comeback to that. “ it’s not about the gays, it’s about you trying to tell everyone to live how you want”. Is that about right? It’s a dang fact that the further away form God we have gotten in this country the worse off we have become. Like I said before. I could care less if someone is gay. My problem is with them trying to shove it down my throat. And that’s all they do. Why is it wrong for me to not accept gays but it’s ok for gays to shove their homosexuality down my throat? They are not happy just being able to be gay. They want everyone to accept it. And they won’t be happy until everyone does. That is the problem I have. And this picture is a perfect representation of what they are trying to do. I’m not gonna argue with you or anyone else about it. I feel the way I do and you feel the way do. I’m done.

Wait, so you can comment in support of an OP saying a photo of gay people makes them sick, yet i am not allowed to refute your drivel?

And just how many heterosexual couples do you think have recreated the classic photo? Are you sure these people wanted the extra attention, or were they just having fun and the news caught on (because, as was mentioned in this thread, military lovin' wasn't always allowed and is stills somewhat newsworthy). Do you have a 'problem' with anyone kissing, or just the gays?

But keep in mind, this is really only an issue because some people didn't want guys to love guys or girls to love girls (i.e. they wanted to regulate what consenting adults did). If someone along the line had the courage to say 'i don't like it but lets not let the government define what adults do' the maybe we wouldn't have had the gay rights movement or the attention it had generated.

But i feel we've been down this road before, haven't we.

how does freedom of association not play into it for you? I'm sure you didn't mind DOMA or when homosexuality was illegal, now did ya? Or did you speak out about how both were violations of the constitution?

The constitution protects the right to desparage our brave gay sailors who are out there everday risking their LIVES defending this great country. Defending YOUR right to demean and mock them!
You can say it's a paradox or you can say it's conumdrum. I say it isn't right.

it's hilarious you say 'they are not happy just being able to be gay' like it's always been the case that being gay okay.

How long ago was it that Gay people were not allowed to be legally married? Or could be barred from visiting their 'significant other' in the hospital since they weren't legally married? Or enjoy the tax incentives/penalties that came from being married? Or adopt children together?

How long ago was it that parents stopped disowning their children for being gay? (how many heterosexual people have you heard about being disowned for loving someone of a different sex i wonder?)

How long ago was it when it was criminal to be gay?

Gay people aren't new and aren't going anywhere (*even if some people get their way and use the power of government to try to stop them).
