Seems like we revisit this every so often. Day before Thanksgiving and two people die as the result of a high speed chase. Is it worth it still, do we still need high speed chases? With the technology we have now with facial recognition, air support, etc is it still needed? I'm leaning towards no unless the chase begins as the result of a witnessed felony in progress. Pulling someone over and then they speed off isn't worth it imo. LEO already have tag and owner info. Catch them tomorrow or the next week at home. A stolen vehicle isn't worth a life. The 24yo was an elementary school teacher of the year in Edmond. If this was posted already somewhere I didn't see it. https://kfor.com/2019/11/28/troopers-identify-innocent-victims-killed-in-wreck-with-high-speed-chase-suspect/
