[QUOTE="steelfingers, post: 3664443, member: 38658"] Turned 66 yesterday. Funny how everything in my past seems so clear. I remember the smallest detail of throw away moments. Getting ready to slide down a hill outside Bakersfield, on a cardbord box that was waxed (back in the day they were). I can recall the exact spot on my brand new jeans that got ripped and I was going to figure out a way to tell my mom. I remember the electric wires that crossed the street a block from our home. Never seen so many tennis shoes on one wire. I was always trying to figure out how to get a few pairs because they were all better than the ones I had. Ha. Just telling everyone you'll never know what imprints on your mind as a child. Make sure your's have great ones so someday, when it's closer to the flag than the gate, they can remember.
