Loved him on Hee Haw (i think)
My sister actually went to Will Rogers at the same time he did. She said he was like that every single day. Someone actually produced DVDs of some of his shows. I think it’s a 3 DVD set. Teddy Jack Eddy, Coach Chuck, Sherman Oaks and a lot more. Who can forget him holding the model airplane flying it around while voicing over Sky King and his niece Penny. Good times. If I remember correctly he got his movie career going with Earnest (of Quik Trip - know what I mean Vern? — Fame) made several in those also Hee Haw and then Hollywood Knights among others.
Earnest had a connection to QT???
He had a variety of commercials for them, I can't remember if they were before or after the guy and Lamar his dog. I think after. It was after these commercials that he started doing the movies (I think there were 3-4).
I call them "Horrible" movies.
yeah, 60 second commercials were tolerable, 1.5 + hour movies were way over the top. I went to see 2 (my first and last).
