Private ponds that aren't pressured are cake for bass fishing. If it doesn't tangle up in moss or other vegetation immediately it will likely catch a fish. I like top water lures for the show, but sometimes heavy cover only allow weedless plastics. Plastic worms, brush hogs and other creature baits work well.
