Completly tore down the M1 and cleaned/inspected. Checked the bore with a bore gauge and less tha 01 wear so it's new and solid. Took the drum rear sights and set at absolute zero after cleaning and grease. Used calipers to set front sight at absolute zero as well. Rear sight after zero is locked so you use front for windage and left side drum dial for elevation. Calibrated elev and set at bottom and set to zero. Returned the setting to 100 yds and took to range. Windy as heck but I was very happy with the results. Great for me shooting irons with 4 of the 8 shots sub moa. Shots were 4 moa up and 4 moa left. Easy peasy to reset and zero so 100 will be dead on. Have to tap and gently move windage but that will be fun.
I'll post a pic of target when I get to set it on my lead sled and get it perfect.
