Soda, Coke, Pop, Sodie Water, Cola? So which is it?

Grow up! It's pronounced "coffee." Damned punk kids....

i worked with an old cowboy who drank only coffee before noon, water after noon, beer after quittin time and all day on sundays. and nothin else. he always said "that sodie pop's fer kids an old ladies !"

that's why the term "soft drink" is used. IIRC suffragettes pushed hard for men to drink "soft drinks" instead of liquor... I seem to remember that the idea was that a sober man would be less likely to beat his wife.

Well, I grew up in New Jersey, so I say soda... but I don't drink it any more. It's iced tea or coffee for me!

... after learning everything I have about the metabolism and the effect that high fructose corn syrup has on the body in my medical school nutrition and biochemistry classes, i will never poison my body with it.
