Your right. Its just partisan politics to blame the other side. I dont know why anyone would defend/blame Bush or Obama. Every thing theyve done, was done under the watchfull eyes of our Congressmen.

That's true as well. I'm definitely a proponent of "fire them all".

What did Bush have to complain about when he took office? There wasnt much he could blame Clinton for. The economy was ridin high, debt was down, unemployment down, Bosnian war wound down. Bush had it good.

Obama, not so good. Elect Mittens, he'll blame Obama, and itll still be a mess. Thanks Georgie.

clinton worked well with the republican congress and viola,a more sound economy.

WTF are you talking about...we were headed into damn recession when Bush 41 took office. Nearly all of 2001 was officially a period of recession. But I'm sure we could dig up some speeches where GWB blamed Clinton.

If we were headed into a recession in 2001, then Bush made it worse. Kinda like saying we were heading for a recession under Bush and Obama made it worse.

Interesting fact - 89 threads show up in a search of "Bush fault", yet 100% of them are sarcastic posts from Bush supporters. I don't think I've actually seen any democrat or Obama supporter say this, so where did it come from?

Serious question, I really would like to know.

For the record, I'm against the entire office of Presidency at this point and would love to see both of these idiots put through the hunger games (before someone comes along to point out that Obama is my savior, or that I'm a Libtard, or attempts to discredit my link)...

You know what else is just as elusive here Andy?

You'll find no one on OSA or anywhere that Bush blamed Clinton for the previous administration's economic excellence.

Funny, After 8 years of Clinton, USA was in great shape. 8 years later, brink of destruction. Fast foward 4 years, climbing back into what Bush left and still climbing.

Im not going to Bush for Obama not being able to do what he said and fix what Bush broke, but if people put country before party and let bias fall, it looks no to be getting better.

If Obama's sole fault is that he is now after four years back to Bush's levels, then Im with ya, kick him out. But there is no way in hell 4 years of Bush on steroids (Romen Noodles) will put this country back economically.

Lets take Obama out of the equation for a sec, when was the USA in better shape. Jan. 1 2000? or Jan. 1st 2008?

Just to be sure, do you think we were better off in Jan. 2008 after Bush than in Jan. 2000 after Clinton?

Not my point.

Lurker claimed that everything was rosy when Bush came into office. It wasn't...we were heading into a recession that lasted most of 2001. So everything wasn't rosy. We have arguably been in a state of overall decline since before Bush. End of point.

I'll be the first to admit that any single President actually has very little to do with the state of the economy as a whole. Obama doesn't get my vote, not because he didn't turn the economy around, but because of his ideology and his vision of what America should be turned into.

Nothing wrong with conceding that when Bush left office the economy was in the toilet. I don't know why some people are afraid to admit that. Obama's wrong about a lot of stuff, but he's right about the economy he inherited. If the shoe fits....
