I parted ways with CTD when they exploited the anthrax scare in the wake of 9/11. Blatant fear mongering to make a few bucks.

I communicated this to them and told them to send me nothing else. Took 'em a few years to take me off their mailing list, but I never opened another of their catlogues.

How come you all get upset at this?
How about.
When farmers jack hay from $28 to $60 a bale because of drought.
Roofers double their prices after a hailstorm?
Lumberyards after a hurricane or tornado?
Gas dealers weekly?
Plumbers bend you over and don't bring the vasoline.
It seems ok to complain as long as its not YOUR business their complaining about. Right?

There's a difference in gougers...

An individual shooter in the sport, selling off what he has gotten a good deal on for profit can be considered gouging... But someone mentioned the gold/silver analogy the other day... Just because I got a good deal, doesn't mean you are entitled to it. It's gouging yes, but that's the beauty of the free market.

I think it's ridiculous to ask (or threaten like some have on this site) a dealer, who makes their living selling these items, to take a cut in profits when clearly the consumer is setting the high prices. I think we should support our OSA dealers, at current market value, before you throw money at the cheapest strangers, who are still making money off of you. Honestly, how many great deals have you seen FBT, BANG, Franson, ect... put out there for us OSA shooters??? now we cry foul when the market changes and forget completely about those smoking deals? It's hypocrisy in it's finest form.

I was going to post about this yesterday when I got my catalog...

then I seen some people posting beta mags for $650, I looked in the catalog and seen 'em for $234.97,

thinking the guys were jerks for putting up ridiculous prices... and then I went to CTD website...

why did they send that catalog out???

Cheaper than dirt did have fast shipping and decent prices, but i probably wont be sending them any more of my money.

I get the whole supply and demand thing, but there are other places that sell the same products that didnt jack up the prices.
