CHK and SD are seriously undervalued right now. Look for that to change in about a year. I'm just waiting to pull the trigger. If I could find another MWE I'd be retired right quick.

CHK has way too many leases that are about to come due and no money to renew them and in alot of cases no care to renew as they are trying to make the switch from gas to oil. Once they make that switch they will start to go up but your talking 2015 before it happens.
In the case of SD its hard for me to consider a stock undervalued when they have to layoff 500 employees thats about 25% of their workforce. When that happens your having major cash issues. At the same time its hard to walk away from a $6 energy stock.

Here are a few:

Magellan Midstream....MMP
BlueKnight Energy.....BKEP .......by the way, these three have storage in Cushing, Okla.
Plains Pipeline...........PAA

Sunoco Logistics........SXL ....I think they're in Cushing, can't remember.

Casears Entertainment....CZR ...They own most of the casinos on the Vegas Strip.....a fun stock.

Wal Mart........WMT ...I've bought into them since 1986, another fun stock to watch
***I think I have Wal Mart-Mexico stock ...Dang I can't remember.

Then my wife has invested over the years in the percentage of risk-vs-age & retirement- for me, so I own some "high...medium...low risk stock" Something like a Janus or Mercury fund??? ...can't remember...sorry.

As a 30+ year investor, I'm stumped these days. Up is down and down is up. All of the old methods and formulas have been thrown out the window.

Tell me about it. I bought a nice chunk of SDT and promptly lost 38%. WTF? This isn't the parent company which I would expect that from. But a royalty trust? That's on plan? :faint:
Luckily I'm in it for the long haul and it's rebounded some. Thinking about doubling down.
