So, I have a situation I need a bit of perspective on. The Cliff's Notes are that I ordered a product locally (email sanitized, names and addresses withheld) and on the order form I requested a local pick-up but never heard anything back so they got shipped to the wrong address (an OKC address instead of a Moore address) because I had to move due to the tornado.)

What should I do? Am I justified in feeling miffed?

What's the ETA for delivery?

What can be done about it? Was there insurance?

Were you able to recover the package?

Ok. Did you try going to the address you provided for shipment? Why was an OKC address given if you live in Moore?

I did go by and left a note.
My old address was 123 SW Main Street, okc, ok 73160, & my browser auto filled incorrectly. [Explanation: because I had to move to Moore with my fiancee due to the tornado devastation and the zip codes are off 73160 and 73170, only off by one number]

That's too bad. An expensive lesson with autofill for sure.

This may sound rough and cruel, but all the seller can do is try to ship to the address supplied to them. I understand that it was a mistake, and it's unfortunate, but the seller shouldn't have to eat it. They didn't make a mistake.

Sounds like the only recourse you have is to continue to talk with the current occupier of the address you supplied. The seller, at this point, is out of the loop. Insurance wouldn't cover this because it was delivered to the address you supplied to the seller.

Not sure what type of businesses you buy from, but if I asked for the items to be held for FTF pick up and the seller shipped anyway, in my book, that falls on the seller.

I would file a complaint with your CC company and explain the situation and hope for a charge back.

No response implies no go in my book.

So it begs the question. If he requested local pickup, why provide a shipping address?

If they required an address regardless of pick-up or shipping, why was the wrong address provided?

If the buyer wanted to pickup, but was then notified that it has shipped, I would have thought he would say "Why did you ship? I wanted to pick up!" - not "I haven't received my shipment!!"

if the buyer did request a local pickup and he had an invoice or receipt saying as such then he could take it up with his CC company.
