some reports I have read almost....almost... sounds like they might have inadvertantly Burked him.
SOmething similiar happed to my PD back in the 80's. Violent guy druggie was fighting. Took 5 officers to get him down and cuffed.
Our guy was dog piled to restrain him..........and the wieght of the officers actually kept him from breathing........and he died from the compression weight.
sad thing all this

Could be. However, that's the problem. Regardless of why they decided to take him down and whether it was a lawful use of force etc, officers need to be aware enough to realize that the bad guy is no longer moving, breathing whatever so that death is avoided. That is asking for quite a bit of self control though. Pure speculation of course but he could have had some underlying medical issues as well. Sticky situation. Again, wish we had the video from the security cam on the theater!

I think he's referring to the investigation of the dept handling the Saunders case, since 2-3 officers involved have been let go, due to evidence missing.

Actually, OSBI is now handling the Carina Saunders investigation since the Bethany PD had some ... uh ... issues running their investigation.

I know, another member questioned why someone posted that OSBI should handle the Saunders case and not this due to resources, I was letting the other member know why OSBI was involved and the member made the comment.

That is what killed my uncle in jail. He went crazy and they tried to restrain him and put a straightjacket on him. He died right there. Meth and schizophrenia are not a good mix.

Well the video doesn't show how he got pinned to the ground.

That being said he's completely non responsive. I would assume the officers should have known something was up.
