I cant decide which round to go with for my new edc. I've shot both and I do like the 40 and have no trouble with fast grouping but if 9mm is easier to group and just as efficient why not go with it? With what I've read many people like the 9mm but I'm not convinced it's not just because they don't like change. However if it's true that everyone is dropping the 40 then I'd be a fool to buy one so that in 5 years i can't find any holsters and such for it. I do my own reloading so bullets aren't a concern except for shtf situations which 9mm is the clear winner of that. Anywho what do the good men of ok shooters think?

Most pistols models I can think of will be the same size between 9/40. So holster availability shouldn’t be an issue. Sure .40 is a bit more expensive than 9mm, but it’s far from cost prohibitive. For every person that’s “dumped” their .40 there’s been another guy to pick them up, so I wouldn’t be worried about being able to find ammo for the foreseeable future either. Well no more than any other caliber at the moment. I’m not trying to sway you either way, 9,.40,.45 all work just fine!
