Depending on the credit card processor (not your cc company) pending charges don’t immediately drop off. Most of the time it takes 24 hours for a pending charge to drop. I would bet the first transaction didn’t go through and will drop off after 24 hours.
I agree. I would relax and not be wound up.

I have been told before the charge has to settle before anything can be done.

It seems like he made the charge this morning.

This will work out. Calm down.

My credit card is a Cabela's Capitol 1. I have no complaints here. The nice lady spent over a 1/2 hour with me on the phone. She could not remove the charges (now there are two identical charges) because they did not go through, but because they are shown as pending, they deducted the amounts from my available credit. She made sure I had money in my account to go about my day.

The seller emailed me and said he did not receive any payment and he has no access to GB checkout.. GB has not returned my email.

As posted above, I now believe these will just disappear in 24 hours or less. Meanwhile, the pending charges still reduce my available credit.

Good luck getting GB’s help. They won’t even help me get my credit card information corrected/resolved. I tried to enter an updated card last winter and their automated responses to my trouble tickets are laughable - that is if it wasn’t so frustrating. I had two rifles really needed selling.

I have not gotten even an automated GB response to my message sent over 24 hours ago.

The pending two charges are still showing on my credit card. It appears that there is another unexpected evil involved as the pending GB charges are now blocking a deposit from my bank to my card causing it to be held as 'pending' and not being processed.

Are you saying your payment is pending?

I'll try and briefly explain how I got to this point and where I am at now.

I won a GB auction. I went through the GB immediate check out. GB said my credit card was not accepted. I tried to check out again and before I could make any entry I get a message that my card was again declined with no reason given for either non-acceptance. I went to my credit card to see if there was a problem there. My credit card showed two pending payments of the full amount due to the seller of the auction and that reduced my available credit by the total of both GB payments. I contacted the GB seller who stated he did not receive any payment.

I contacted my credit card help and the nice lady spent about 45 minutes trying to resolve the problem including getting my bank on the phone where I could authorize an immediate deposit to my card. The credit card lady had no luck trying to remove or reverse the charges. She said the pending charges should drop off within 24 hours to 5 days as they were not funded to start with.

I sent GB an emailed help request. It has not been answered.

As it stands now, my credit card will use what credit was left available after the 2 GB charges posted to pay new charges but the bank deposit and one authorized payment along with the 2 GB payments are now frozen in a pending status (and have been since yesterday).

Note: I am unwilling to make another deposit to my credit card for fear it would be frozen too.
