They showed clips last night and today of a drag queen donut shop and during one clip it showed one of the queens licking a knife very provacatively, kids shouldn’t be subject to seeing that garbage ! And it seems a lot of people went there to buy the donuts. I don’t know how to share the clips but you can google it.

it's super weird because:

drag face IS black face.

two outcomes: either black face is offensive AND drag face is offensive, or NEITHER are offensive.

black face originates much like "original" drag, wherein women were banned from performing on stage (or being scene on stage i guess rather), thus men would simply dress as women and play their roles. this is literally how blackface began, it was a LIBERAL PROGRESSIVE thing, wherein both the performers AND the audience were forcing the overton window to the left to include black people in art performances and shows.

that is NOT the origin of drag performances. Drag is and has *always* been men who literally hate women so much they refuse pair bond or *even have sex with* women, pretending to be women and making fun of them. that's it.

like....let's just say if *I* came up with these caricatures of women that are "drag queens" SURELY women would be like "okay you're just making fun us, NO woman looks like that, acts like that, etc"

Only 160 donors. That's promising. Tulsa has been going the wrong direction since the late 90's on things like this. It's going to take a big push to drive the perverts out.
