Having lived in California for a period, I can confirm a lot of them are indeed freaks. I just don’t understand why they’d move to one of the most conservative states in the union, only to complain about our politics and how we do things.
Because they retire and can buy a mansion here for the hell hole they sold in California. They don’t even have to retire in this age of “work at home”. Then they take over, and THEY make the rules. I’m hoping tornadoes keep them away, but I’m not counting on it.

So true about the cold and wind. I lived and went to college in Rock Springs (SW part of WY) for almost 3 years. Loved the isolation and way of life but man, those winters are brutal. Still, the only reason I left was because the 'oil patch' hit the bust phase and I couldn't find another job that paid nearly as well.
