I'll take my Kahr CW9 over a Taurus any day. :twocents:

My Taurus PT111 (early model) was 100% reliable and had a couple of things that I REALLY liked but, it was just not in the same league as Kahr IMO.

Another you may want to look at is the S&W 3913. Very slim 8+1rnds, not much larger than a J-frame S&W. Granted you'll have to purchase used, but they still have the lifetime warranty, and they are boringly reliable, and very accurate. Check pic's.

Don't know (don't care) what it is you're trying to attract with your form-fitting wardrobe.

Boats and hoes.

I know a few that use a pocket holster with a small auto, but sounds like your pants might be way too tight for that.

They're not patent leather hot pants, man. Just dress pants. I keep wallet, cell phone, & keys in my front pockets. I cannot pocket carry. IWB is my preferred method, but tucked in dress shirts and a 31" waste make printing an issue with double stack weapons. If you don't believe me, try it.

Honestly, I'd feel better equipped carrying my G19 than carrying BOTH your 60 and 36. Although a nice 3" Model 60 is definitely on my list of must haves.

Took the GLOCK out again today. I think I'm just going to start buying holsters until I find one that conceals the 19 well. I'll probably start with the smart carry and if that's no good, try a raven concealment IWB.

I like where Mike's head's at. A CW9 chopped to PM9 grip would be sweet. Maybe next pay check!!

By the way, I will never carry a .380 as a primary weapon.

The little post next to the big house
PM-9. Why the price tag difference between the CW9 & PM9? I don't get it. I'm on the fence w/ the CW9. I've never seen or handled one, but they are reasonably priced.

I had a CW9 and have a PM9. The CW9 is more comparable to the P9, and here's a link for the differences. The PM9 is a smaller version of the P9.

I found the PM to be more accurate than the CW, despite its shorter barrel. It's an easy shooter, but has a lot of muzzle flash and follow up shots are a little slower since the smaller grip leads to a little more muzzle climb. Some of the older ones were plagued with peening where the slide meets the breech, but that seems to have been cured with the new ones (IA serial number series). It's no taller or longer than an LCP, but a little thicker and heavier. I figured it was a fair trade off for the increase in firepower, and I sold the LCP.

The P9 is probably a little better than the CW9, but probably not proportionately better as compared to the increase in price. I'd probably get the all-steel K9 instead of the P9 if I was going to spend that much on the larger gun.

Ol Yeller has posted that he can dovetail the slide of the CW9, replacing the pinned in plastic sight. For the money, it's hard to beat. Chopping the grip means you end up with what used to be the Covert (short grip and full slide). The PM9 replaced that model.

Bottom line is that the CW9 is a great value you can't go wrong with; but if you want the smaller gun, the PM9 is worth the extra.

Just to follow up with this thread....I brought this little bugger home yesterday afternoon:

.

Fondled the Taurus & the Walther. The Kahr fit my hand better and I thought the trigger on the Taurus was atrocious.

Clean it, lube it, shoot it. Run about 300 rounds through it. Then try your favorite carry load. I'll bet it eats it just fine. Mine doesn't know the difference between Gold Dots and FMJ. :mosh:

You'll like that one.

Can't believe I missed this thread before. Mike, I have had a PM9 in my pocket every time we have met up. You will like the CW. It is basically just not as fancy as the P series on the roll mark, and the front sight. I think the trigger is a little different, but I guess I am not sensitive enough to tell the difference?

Let me know if you are thinking of cutting it down, I will let you shoot my PM to see if that is the size you want before you do it. It is a little different, but I don't think you would have any problem with it at all.
