Howdy y'all,
I have this 1897 that is a bit interesting. It does not have any agency markings but it does have a rack number. The serial number puts it at being produced in 1907, but the furniture appears to be WW2/postwar era from what I have gathered. And it has the hunting/sporting full-length barrel (matching serno), not the combat length barrel. The best guess I can come up with is that it was once the property of a gun club or skeet team. That is about all the info I have short of buying the letter for it from the Cody Firearms Museum. Any thoughts/leads?
Thanks
