How many different size grips are there for 1911s?

For a Government style, there are two common variations: 1) standard thickness, 2) thin (requires special grip screws and bushings). Within that, there is ambi thumb safety cut (or not), magwell provision (flat across bottom) or beveled bottom (not intended for magwell, but will work). Then there is the bobcat style bevel on the mainspring housing, which requires special grips.

The shortened grip frames (Officer-type) take their own series of grips.
