Yea I seen that. I would not go by the manufacture dates that are floating around the internet. There are mistakes in them. There is a guy on the firearms forum that has the dates from the old records.
My buddy is an old winchester collector and we didn't go off the internet we went by his book, but you're right it's hard to nail down these dates on these older guns.
