My only real requirement is that he shoot a “mature” buck preferably 5 or over. Granted, the neighbors are playing by a different set of rules, but I won’t go there....
There are some not in the pic, but I counted 24 bobwhite quail at the feeder. It’s interesting to watch. While 22 of them are head down scratching for food, there are two lookouts, both males that never put their head down, constantly scanning the sky around them.
Then a buck walked in among them. They kind of moved away but weren’t scared. You can see one of the quail just off the bucks left shoulder.
