Not asking for handouts. Come on guy, you don’t get that it’s immoral, the system that is in place? Not once in this thread have I asked for a handout. I’m illustrating the patently unjust and immoral system that is forming/has formed in this country and how it’s going to end the middle class.

Using the old principled conservative reply of “quit asking for free stuff” doesn’t work.

Everything I’ve talked about require paying into the system to pay for it. No handouts.

You don't get that you want to give the very ones responsible for said "immoral system" more power? Just curious as to why you are ignoring this question?

How many aspects of society can you name where the government does a better and more efficient job, than the private sector?

No. That's YOUR argument and assumptions, not mine.

The reality is that Medicare is established and pulling the rug out from under everyone would be catastrophic. Would there have been a better way about going about it? I think so. Changes? Yep. Burning down the house or giving the government full control as our only options? Nah...Retarded.

According to an estimate by the Mercatus Center, "Medicare for All" would cost $32.6 trillion over its first 10 years. Even doubling corporate and individual income taxes wouldn't be enough to fund it.

I'm not sure why I'm arguing against Bernie Sanders talking points on this board but here I am.
Oh no no no no, not Bernie. Bernie is playing class warfare tax the rich games. No sir. A tax that EVERYONE pays is how to pay for it, easily.

32.6 TRILLION over 10 years is a bargain! Americans spend 4.1 TRILLION per year just on premiums, copays and co insurance! Just from those with insurance. Medicare for all saves money in that way alone! Then add the elimination of Medicaid. Looks like it makes financial sense to me.

But the topic has been hi jacked for years into making everyone scream “communism!” “Socialism”! So we just fight about it instead of doing something.

I believe we can do it better. I addressed this earlier in the thread. We suck at it now because we are half assing it.

lol so which is it no gov control in health care or gov control in health care?

can’t have it both ways. It’s one of the reasons we are were we are currently.

so it’s proven single payer will save us money then let’s just do it and be done with it already.

Can you cite your source? Would like to look at the numbers.

I'm not screaming socialism but you boys ARE taking all the hot socialist talking points from a few years ago and regurgitating them. You also completely ignore any question about the government's control. This is a 2A board and giving the government more control especially over something as important as our health usually doesn't bode well.

Only problem with your theory is that it hasn't been proven..... outside of Bernie or Warren propaganda that is.

Kind of the warning sign I'm eluding to, and I'm just not sure why it's not obvious that having the government in control of healthcare is a bad thing.
Insurance in charge isnt a good solution either. Pay a fortune to just have them deny everything. Insurance and retirement for that matter can’t be tied to jobs, that limits choice and isn’t free market.

Giving insurance companies more leverage. Now there’s a disaster holy smokes. They already buy the legislatures at the federal and state levels off with their lobbyists.

Sorry to tell you but this is not a 2A board. Plenty of gun owners on this board that want more restrictions on gun rights. I’m not one of them. I just believe we have the ability to have a nice single payer system and the more people are squeezed out of the current system the more we need it.

This is a discussion board, sometimes things won’t “bode well“ with some. Oh no!

They can be held liable from the courts and that does happen. Unlike the government.
