Been on BP meds for years to keep everything stable. Diuretics drains potassium and other minerals from my system. I started with a low dose of 250mg Magnesium supplement each day and my leg jerks every 30 seconds to a minute or so when laying down to sleep went away. I have tested taking vs not taking several and it always came out the same. I did find I can back off to taking 250mg every other day and it stays mostly gone. This absolutely works for me. Your results may vary. Good luck to you finding a solution.

The medicine the Doctor put me on is pretty strong and I still have crazy legs at night sitting on the sofa. But, I want to tell some of you with RLS that the wife has been studying herb supplements for years and she suggested I try Valarian Root and I did and it stopped the crazy legs sitting on the sofa and into the night. I don't remember even waking once due to restless elgs once I went to sleep.
So if you have RLS, it might be worthwhile to try Valarian Root to quell the symptoms, it may not work for everyone but it works for me so far...

You were close. Gabapentin. I've been on it for years for neuropathy. It was weird at first but once I was on it a few weeks the side effects went away and I only see the good. Only have to miss one dose and man on man am I reminded why I take it. Oof
