ATF allegedly drafting ban on private gun sales

Arkansas passed a law stating that any gun legislation to come out of the DOJ after Jan 1 2021 is null and void and local and state LE SHALL NOT assist in violating the 2A rights of its citizenry.

Seems like they shoot folks just fine without local LEO help.

Now if local LEO actually stepped in to prevent ATF violence - that would be newsworthy.

The grandstanding is "thoughts and prayers".

Has anyone seen the revised ATF guidelines for issuing FFL's? You know, the one where anyone "engaged in the business" will qualify for getting the license?

Exactly. Arkansas isn't the first state to announce a law like this. Some have been in effect for several years. I've never seen an instance where the feds were stopped from enforcing anything by state or local law enforcement. FFS... Even SCOTUS rulings are ignored by the feds. Does anyone seriously think they give a rat's ass about some obscure state law?

If Huckabee-Sanders had sent Arkansas Troopers to arrest the ATF agents on this raid, that would've been noteworthy. Otherwise it's simply tough talk and grandstanding, just like you said.

Agreed. No wonder so many people have given up following the ATF guidelines or any govt overreach on the 2nd amendment.
