Browning BLR

Anyone have a Browning BLR? Like the looks of them and they come in all calibers. Was considering 7mm, but from what I've read the 24" Barrel may be to short for that caliber. Also, have always liked 30-06. Are they accurate? Good for long range scoped shooting? or more like the old WIN Saddle Guns?

Also, offered in pistol grip stock or regular, stainless and blued. Not sure which combo would be better...

I've got a old BLR chambered in .243 Win. 20in barrel. It was my uncles rifle and it is probably 40yrs old. I've shot approx 200 rounds through it. I would compare it to the Winchester Model 94 in 30-30.

Have hunted with both .243 and .308 and are accurate for a lever gun. I think they are more accurate than my Winchester 94. However the most accurate lever gun out there IMO is a
Sako Finnwolf.

My favorite brush gun for whitetails is a BLR in 358.

I inherited one in .243 from my father-in-law. He had it since the 60s or 70s and used it primarily for deer. Great gun and fun to shoot. It now belongs to my son. I doubt it will ever leave the family.
