Found these in a few of my dads hunting bags after he passed. Can any of y’all help me identify, or have any info on them? I have a feeling they could all be fairly obscure, but any info is appreciated. I found some info on a “murr” knife maker, but I’m not at all sure the one I have was made by him.

Keith Murr was an Arkansas knifemaker. I lost contact with him about 10 years ago.

When I try to zoom to see the names on the knives they go full zoom and makers mark goes off the picture. Jim Grow is not listed in any knife Annual/
Thank you for looking at those, much appreciated. Jim Grow made three of the knives- the gut hook knife and the “matched pair”. The other knife with the ornate bolster has only the letters “DRG” stamped in it.

Does that look like a knife Keith Murr would make? I found several examples of his online, but nothing really resembled this particular knife. I do know that the guy my dad got it from frequented Arkansas.

I knew Jim Grow back in the 70s when I started making knives. He lived in Bethany and worked for OG&E as a lineman. Last I heard of him he had retired and moved to Ardmore.

Hi! I came across your post! Jim Grow is my grandfather and he just passed yesterday. We’ve been looking at different things and I decided to research his knife making. I’ve attached a picture of some of his work.

So Sorry for your loss!!! Researching his work and then find a post and pictures of his work must be rewarding. Rewarding in the fact that he left so many well crafted knives that so many used and enjoyed. We as a whole have lost a true bladesmith but his legacy lives on in each knife he crafted. Again So Sorry for your Loss! Prayers for the whole family.
