A buddy of mine got his this week. Remington lower and Colt upper. Service grade. It's nice! It came in a FDE pelican style case with a Certificate of Authenticity.

As a 17 year old kid in basic training the M1911 was the first handgun I ever fired.....now that I think about it the M14 in basic was the very first center fire rifle that I'd ever fired.

Same here for first handgun. I'd never shot anything but a .410 shotgun before attending Basic.
