It's been discouraging to see campus carry legislation defeated in so many states recently but it looks like we can take heart from some new info out of Texas. It came very close to passing there. I'm skeptical about our odds in the Oklahoma legislature but keep your fingers crossed for next year in Texas - once it becomes law there I think the barriers will start falling everywhere else in the heartland, including Oklahoma.
This year after passing 20-11 in the Texas Senate it died in the Texas House not because of strong opposition but because of political manuvering that caused it and a lot of other bills to never be considered.
