Just throwing an unsolicited shout out to an awesome company. They make custom grips for 1911s as well as other handguns. I have ordered a couple pair and they are awesome. They have a bunch of different styles to choose from, or if you are like me you can have them make them custom for no additional charge. Basically they it is a clear plastic grip that has the image printed on the back with a high resolution printer. Here is a pic of my OSU grips on my 1911-22.
