Slow crawling/trail riding creates a lot of heat. And Jeep Hoods/Engine Bays hold in so much heat to the point of boiling the gas in the injectors. Every Jeep I have built I have installed this type of hood vent, so no longer get boogered up on cutting a perfect hood!

Just finished it up. Now no heat issues!

I've wondered how well those actually work, good huh?

They help immensely! I have bought the more expensive “Poison Spider” brand before, but this is as good and more economical. Also don’t know why the ad states just 97 to 02, as the 03, 04, 05 and 06 are identical. The Jeep I am using now and in the photos above is a 04 and it fit perfect.
