I just bought a TS2. Maybe I’m the only dumbass that paid retail for it—$1200 for one seems like a steal to me.

My complaint so far is about the magazines. Why make a competition-focused pistol without peepholes in the magazines to see how many rounds are in there??

Anyway, here was my attempt to rectify that.

I drew up the mag in CAD to try to figure out where the holes need to be, and because I wanted to print out the template anyway.

Then printed out my new template…

I used that to center punch all the holes, and started drilling. Not the most fun material in the world to drill, really. Finally, I used my bandfile to grind all the burrs out of the inside of it. It wasn’t quite smooth to the touch yet when the tiny little belt let go. But good enough for a test fit.

So, here’s how my spacing came out. Actually usable!!

CZ is starting to make me doubt my loyalty to their brand,,,
Which is a crying shame as I own several of them.

I bought the CZ-75B Kadet pistol,,,
They discontinued it.

I bought the CZ 512 Rifle,,,
They discontinued it.

I bought the CZ 512 Carbine,,,
They discontinued it.

With CZ's less than stellar reputation for parts for their current models,,,
What is going to happen if I need a part for a discontinued gun?

My CZ 75B is still on their website,,,
My CZ 457 Varmint AT-1 is still on their website.

The question for me is,,,
For how long?

I really enjoy shooting my 512's,,,
But I'm wondering if I shouldn't sell them,,,
They are both relatively new so now would be the time.

Perhaps it's time to embrace a maker that's more stable,,,
A couple of custom 10/22's could replace the 512's,,,
And I wouldn't need to be worried about parts,,,
10/22 stuff is readily available everywhere.

It would be difficult to replace my Kadet though,,,
I've never encountered a duty styled .22,,,
That shoots as well as the Kadet,,,
Maybe a Sig Sauer.

Oh well I'm just musing.

.
Well it's clear you ar3 the problem every time you buy a specific model CZ discontinues it 😏🤪

I'm still sad I never managed to get one of the CZs in .458 Lott. Discontinued it right before I got back home with deployment money burning a hole in my pocket...
