How about we let the border land owner decide on the wall? It’s their land afterall? Or better yet let the states And we all know our system is broken, it so happens to be the best form of government but even it goes awry....or better yet let the states affected by the border wall make the decision?
Ummm, seizing land? Doesn't the US Government own the land at the border? Like... isn't there a strip of 100 feet or something that is considered Federal property? So how are we seizing anyone's land? Are farmer's producing crops right up to the 6 inches before it becomes Mexico?

The government only owns land where they've already gone through the process of establishing eminent domain.
There are rich Texans from El Paso to the Gulf who are bracing for a fight right now. Nobody can beat the government, but rich pissed-off Texans can cause no end of trouble.
I've heard several reports of folks not wanting a wall on their property and several folks that are fine with a wall on their property. I'd be more willing to listen when we have an actual border land owner in front of the camera saying I own this land and don't want a wall here. I've got a feeling that we won't see this. Much like @tRidiot , I figured the government owned an easement between us and Mexico and also between us and Canada.
I'll also say that those landowners should be compensated. I can't even begin to guess what a fair amount would be but I bet some money could make some landowners happy.

Believe it or not, YouTube is a pretty good source for "some" information. For instance, in addition to border land owners saying both that they want a wall and don't want a wall, there are reports using hidden trail cameras picking up both those just crossing illegally and those literally carrying "goods" across.
Excuse for what? Land ownership is a real thing in the United States. There's nothing new about it Ms. Ocasio-Cortez. Yes our ever helpful government can seize it for our own good, but there is a legal process for doing that. It takes time.
