Ever buy a pistol and later wish you had bought two or more of them?

About three years ago I received a notification from Classic Firearms,,,
They had Beretta Model 81's (.32 ACP) for $199.00,,,
I ordered one that day along with spare mags.

I don't know where my brain was that day,,,
I should have ordered at least two,,,
And maybe a 3rd.

I knew that I would like this new addition,,,
I already own a Model 85 (.380 ACP),,,
And a Model 87 (22. LR).

I greatly enjoy shooting both of them,,,
The smaller frame size fits my K-Frame hands perfectly.

This .32 shooter is fast becoming my favorite briefcase pistol.

With 12 plus 1 capacity,,,
And a very manageable recoil,,,
It has replaced the Model 85 in my satchel bag's holster.

I figure 12-13 well placed hollow point bullets,,,
Due to the reduced recoil vs. the .380 ACP model 85,,,
Would be of better use to me than only 8 slightly larger bullets.

And this for only $199.99!

The reason I wish I had bought two more is that,,,
I think they would make great gifts for some friends of mine.

Every time my best friend and his wife go to the range,,,
She buys 100 rounds of .32 and has a real blast,,,
She offers me $300.00 for it every time.

Unfortunately they sold all that they had imported in just over one month,,,
At that low price point for a high quality Beretta,,,
No one was surprised by this.

I own several carry pistols ranging from .25 ACP to 9mm,,,
They are all getting some cabinet time now,,,
The Beretta 81 is my new favorite.

Anyone else out there feel the same?

Not advocating especially,,,
Just curious to see if I'm alone in this.

P.S. My "briefcase" is a leather satchel case marketed 12 years ago by "Gun Toten Mama's",,,
I know many folk don't like any type of off body concealed carry,,,
But this bag allowed me to get away with carrying,,,
On a university campus for over 12 years.

I worked in an area on campus that has traditionally been a target for active shooters,,,
I decided to adopt the "Better judged by twelve than carried by six." perspective.

I ordered two of those when Classic had them wanted one to shoot and the second one for spare parts if i ever needed it but both was in good shape so put them both back for shooters for now. Just wish i could find some cheaper mags for them

A few years back Berretta 92s police trade pistols could be found for $150 in poor cosmetic shape. I bought a nice example for 275. I wish I’d bought several of there cheap ones to use as truck guns.

I wasn't interested in .32 acp,
To be honest, I wasn't particularly interested in that cartridge either,,,
I just couldn't pass up on a $199.00 Beretta of any ilk.

Honestly, I figured I would shoot a few hundred rounds through it,,,
Then turn around and peddle it off to another Beretta lover.

But after shooting that first 200 rounds of ammo I bought,,,
And seeing my accuracy (precision?) go way up,,,
I've become a believer in it's potential.

I do know that the .32 ACP cartridge is somewhat meek and mild,,,
But at 15 yards I hit much better than with the .380 model,,,
That reduced recoil makes all the difference to me.

I bought 100 rounds of a nasty hollow point,,,
50 rounds to test the feed and fire,,,
48 rounds to carry in my mags.

I practice with FMJ ammo I get from sgammo.com,,,
At $20.95/box it's not too expensive for range time fun/practice.

I had seen some very low priced Model 92 police trade-in's,,,
And even though I do give myself a generous onthly fiery-arm allowance
I have always passed on them as the grip is way too fat for my K-Frame sized hands.

Even though they have that lovely Italian style to them,,,
I've always felt the 92's were like bricks in my hands.

The only full size 9mm's I can get a good grip on,,,
Are my CZ-75B and CZ-75B Kadet.
